Science: Complete pages 18 and 19 in your reproduction science packet.
Spelling: Practice in Spelling City for 10 minutes.
Math: 15 minutes of Khan Academy practice. The first 10 minutes must have something to do with decimals, percents, or fractions. Please write down the problem and answer to the 10 toughest questions you worked on. Turn that in to me tomorrow during math class.
Today in class:
Math: We looked at land divisions and determined what fraction of the land each person owned. (page 18 in the text)
Today we watched our NewsCast for February. I will be posting it on-line soon. There are some potential news anchors in the classroom!
Language Arts: We read pages 131-141. Clotee's story is getting really exciting! Mas' Henley put Hince up in a wager in a race and Hince lost!!! What's going to happen to Hince now?
We also did a grammar lesson on should have, would have, could have, must have. Students often write would of, could of, should of and must of. We discussed how speech patterns can lead to this error in writing. Could Have.....
Science: We are continuing our study of reproduction. Today we focused on the female reproductive system. Tonight for homework students have to label diagrams of the male reproductive systems and female reproductive system, along with a vocabulary scramble.
